Flat lamination WITH PUR-HOTMELT

Polyurethane hotmelt is a non-hazardous, fast-drying and subsequently highly curing, flexible, solvent-free one-component PUR hotmelt adhesive. A reactive hotmelt PUR adhesive is often used for flat lamination and for bonding insulated panel materials, for example.

WHERE IS PUR-HOTMELT USED?

  • Lamination of flat screens
  • Foils on panels
  • Edge bonding
  • Wood bonding
  • Furniture production
  • Building materials industry
  • Panel bonding
  • Profile jacket
  • Parquet production

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF PURE HOTMELT BONDING?

  • Solvent-free
  • Excellent temperature resistance
  • High initial adhesion, initial strength
  • Easy to automate
  • Short pressing time required.

Various substrates and materials can be industrially automated bonded with PUR hotmelt.
The most commonly used panel materials are wood, metals, insulating materials and plastics.

Our laboratory tests are standard at 20 ° C and 55% relative humidity.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE

PUR hotmelt adhesives can withstand temperatures of up to + 120 ° C for a long time and Intercol can carry out quantitative and qualitative tests in its own climate chambers.

Pure hotmelts generally offer good resistance to various chemical acids, diesel and gasoline as well as strong alkalis.

The use of PUR hotmelt for bonding generally results in a long service life of the end product and a seamless surface reduces the need for repair, maintenance and cleaning.

THERMOPLASTIC HOTMELT ADHESIVES

The PUR hotmelt adhesive was developed for applications where conventional hotmelt adhesives could not meet the specifications. The best-known hot melt adhesives worldwide are EVA, polyolefin and PSA hot melt adhesives.

  • EVA hotmelt , the first hotmelt to be widely used in the assembly and packaging industry
  • Polyolefin, also known as metallocene hotmelt, is used for higher temperature resistance and better adhesion to difficult-to-bond materials such as plastics.
  • PSA hotmelt adhesives are self-adhesive hotmelts (pressure-sensitive adhesives) that are used to provide materials with a permanent adhesive layer. Many are used for the production of self-adhesive tapes (adhesive tape) and self-adhesive labels. Many products that are provided with self-adhesive tape can also be provided with hot melt adhesive more efficiently and cost-effectively, for example by means of a roller, nozzle or spray coating.
